The 2023 Geneva Motor Show in Qatar (yes you read that right) marks the return of the classic auto show, with the debut of the highly anticipated mid cycle refresh for the 2024 Audi SQ8. Audi’s flagship luxury SUV has been in development for a few years, and the anticipation for the premier has been building ever since. The Geneva Motor Show will end on October 14, and another event is scheduled for next year.

To sum it all up, the new 2024 SQ8 has features and technology that take it to the next level. It features a 4.0L twin turbo V8 engine that produces 500 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, propelling the SQ8 from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds. The exterior even has a few distinct changes such as optional HD Matrix LED headlights with a laser high beam at the front and OLED tail lights. Although the show car debuted with 23-inch wheels, Audi has announced that the production version will offer 21 or 22-inch wheels instead.

The debut of the SQ8 at the 2023 Geneva Motor Show marks the triumphant return of the classic auto show and a major step forward in Audi’s progress since the coronavirus pandemic. The SQ8 reinforces Audi’s commitment to producing luxury vehicles that are as technologically advanced and luxurious as they are safe and capable. It’s an exciting time for Audi and for the auto industry as a whole, and the SQ8 is a perfect representation of that.
As a reminder, Audi will continue to offer the Q8 in both gasoline and diesel variants along with its electric twin the Q8 e-tron Sportback. Subscribe to AudiSpeed for more Audi news and content.
