There are reports that Audi is currently testing its upcoming SQ5 and two new S5 Avant models in the mountains of Colorado. TFL Now spotted the vehicles leaving a hotel and entering the interstate. All three cars appear to be S variants, as they feature quad exhausts on both sides.
Audi has also announced a new naming scheme for its models. The company will use odd numbers for products with combustion engines and even numbers for electric vehicles. As a result, the current A4 will be renamed the A5. Recent spy shots of the A5 Avant wagon show a single rectangular exhaust outlet, confirming that the vehicles with quad outlets in the video are the S5 Avant models. It is also anticipated that the S5 family will include a hybrid powertrain, and the upcoming RS5 version will also incorporate electric assistance for its powertrain.
As a reminder, The Q5 and SQ5 are set to debut in 2024, with a Sportback body style to follow the wagon.
