Audi has always been at the forefront of innovation, and with the release of the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar, they have once again proven their commitment to Dakar and sustainable mobility.

The Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar is an electric SUV based on the Q8 advanced 55 e-tron quattro model. It has a net battery size of 106 kWh (gross: 114 kWh) and features a quattro drivetrain with two motors, which delivers 300 kW in boost mode and a torque of 664 Nm. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds with standard tires and in 5.9 seconds with General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires. The car has a range of up to 487 kilometers (302 miles) and a top speed of 124 mph.

Compared to the base model, the electric SUV is equipped with General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires and has a higher ground clearance of 31 millimeters, making it better suited for handling on loose surfaces like gravel or snow. The ground clearance is 206 millimeters, but as the vehicle reaches higher speeds, it gradually lowers by 15 millimeters at 85 km/h (53 mph), 17 millimeters at 100 km/h (62 mph), and 13 millimeters at 120 km/h (75 mph). This improves driving stability at high speeds for better aerodynamics and range. With a front angle of approach of 20 degrees, a rear angle of approach of 26 degrees, and a ramp angle of 19 degrees, the electric SUV is prepared to tackle light off-road terrain.

The Q8 e-tron edition Dakar is available in three colors – Siam Beige metallic, Mythos Black metallic, and Magnetic Gray. You can choose a unique decal package that’s inspired by the legendary RS Q e-tron. If you opt for the body color Mythos Black metallic, the car receives only a partial wrap. The wrapped models are limited to only 99 units. The Q8 e-tron edition Dakar will be available for order in Q1 2024 in Germany, with prices starting from around €120,000 ($131,000).
