Audi is not only showcasing the drive technology of the Audi RS Q e-tron at the Dakar Rally but also in urban areas. French Audi factory drivers Stéphane Peterhansel and Edouard Boulanger recently took to the streets of Paris to demonstrate the RS Q e-tron’s capability and technology.

The adventure began at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Then from the 18th Arondissement, they passed the Église de la Madeleine to the Place de la Concorde (the headquarters of the Automobile Club de France). From there, it went to the Arc de Triomphe, passed the Invalides to Place François 1er, and then ended at the origins of the Dakar Rally at the Place du Trocadéro.

“It was great fun to explore Paris with our RS Q e-tron,” said Stéphane Peterhansel. “With the electric drive we rolled almost silently through this wonderful city and inspired many people.” As a reminder, Audi developed the RS Q e-tron to compete in desert motorsports with a low-emission model. In 2022, Audi Sport scored four stage wins with the RS Q e-tron during its debut at the Dakar Rally and, shortly after that, won its first desert rally at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. The Audi RS Q e-tron consists of an electric drivetrain with an energy converter system based on the 2.0 liter four cylinder turbo TFSI engine and a generator. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds, has a top speed of 105 mph, and has a total power output of 358 hp.
