The Audi RS Q8 and Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat are two of the hottest luxury SUV’s on the market and a drag race between them would be a thrilling experience. Well here in Edmunds Cars most recent video they did just that. Let’s take a closer look at who is likely to come out on top in this epic battle of the powerhouse SUVs.

Audi RS Q8
The Audi RS Q8 marks Audi Sport’s foray into the full-size SUV domain. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and weighing in at 5,490 lbs, the RS Q8 delivers big performance in the classy Audi package. In terms of power, the Audi RS Q8 delivers an impressive 592bhp and 800Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the RS Q8 can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. This makes it one of the best SUVs in the segment in terms of performance. It also features 10 piston calipers and carbon ceramic brakes. That being said, it is significantly lower in horsepower when compared to the Durango SRT Hellcat.

Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat
The Durango Hellcat SRT is powered by a supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 engine that delivers a whopping 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in an amazing 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph. This is quite impressive since its weighs almost 300 lbs heavier than the RS Q8 at 5,710 lbs. Although the Durango is not equipped with carbon ceramic brakes like the RS Q8, it still comes with 15.75 inch front rotors and six-piston calipers.
Both SUVs are entirely different animals, yet both balance eachother out very well. Curious about the outcome? Watch the video below!
