In a recent video from Carwow, Ken Block’s famous Audi S1 Hoonitron takes on a 1985 Audi S1 Quattro Group B rally car. Although the two cars present distinct differences, lets compare to see how they stack up against each other.

Starting with the S1 Hoonitron, although this car weighs a solid 3571 lbs, it still manages to put down 680hp (500kW) and 640Nm of torque from its dual motor motor setup. The power comes from four high-voltage batteries from a standard Audi PHEV model, each with a capacity of 14.4 kWh, totaling 57.6 kWh, operating at 800 volts. The electric power distribution between the front and rear axles is fully variable while the motors have a maximum speed of 28,000 rpm.

Next up is the 1985 Audi S1 Quattro Group B rally car. In case you aren’t familiar, Audi debuted the Sport Quattro S1 at the 1000 Lakes Rally in August 1985, and is still one of the most powerful rally cars ever built. Between the weight reduction and aerodynamics, the “stock” form can hit 0-100 km/h in a staggering 3.1 seconds, but this car is far from stock. Although this car is much older, It’s got a 2.1-litre 5 cylinder turbo producing about 500hp & 480Nm. It has slightly less power than the famous Hoonitron, but weighs significantly lighter at 2403 lbs. Who is your money on? Watch the video below of the iconic duo and find out who wins!
