The Sauber F1 team’s managing director, Alessandro Alunni Bravi, has recently confirmed that new hires are a top priority for the team as Audi’s takeover approaches. The team is focusing on recruiting the right individuals rather than developing infrastructure.
Sauber’s financial position has improved after Alfa Romeo’s investment in 2018, which enabled the team to hire better talent to compete in Formula One. However, the five-year partnership with Alfa Romeo ended this year, and the team will now be known as ‘Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber’ from 2024, although this may change before the season begins.

Despite these changes, Sauber is still focused on recruitment, thanks to the deal confirmed with Audi in 2022, where the German brand will take over team operations in 2026. Alunni Bravi has revealed that the team will invest in human and technological resources.
“We have undertaken an important recruitment plan.” stated Bravi, “But it’s a process that takes time, and each year there is a plan to expand our departments, our facilities, and of course, our staff.”
