The electric version of the 2025 Audi A4 is supposedly scheduled for release by the end of 2025, and it will be sold alongside a new-generation combustion equivalent. Despite having a similar design, the electric car will be marketed as a stand-alone product, with a design that closely resembles the A6 and Q6 E-tron EVs. The electric A4 will also likely be built using Audi’s new PPE architecture.

The upcoming electric A4 is anticipated to be released in various versions, including an entry-level, rear-driven A4 45 E-tron and a four-wheel-drive twin-motor A4 55 E-tron. The latter is expected to have a power output of 396bhp, similar to the Q6, and a 0-62mph time of less than 6 seconds. The new A4 E-tron is also expected to receive a new generation battery with a usable capacity of around 100kWh and will be equipped with standard 800V charging hardware. Because of this, the A4 E-tron will be able to charge at a maximum of 270kW. This will allow for around 155 miles of range to be added in just 10 minutes.
But wait, there’s more! The upcoming S4 E-tron is expected to have a power output of 510bhp, which is significantly more than the current V6-engined RS4 Competition. This increased power is also likely to reduce the 0-62mph sprint time to around 4.0 seconds!

The new E-tron family will feature short overhangs and low-slung bodywork as defining features. This design will clearly distinguish the A4 E-tron from its more subtly updated fuel-burning A5 counterpart. With all these features, the Audi A4 EV promises to set a new standard for affordable luxury electric vehicles and will surely give BMW, Mercedes, and Tesla a run for their money.
