Audi’s U.S. sales saw a notable boost during the third quarter, with their electric vehicle category experiencing a remarkable 93% year-over-year increase. This surge in sales can be attributed to the widespread appeal of their Q5, Q7, and A5 models.
Here are the current numbers:
- Q5 +13%
- Q7 +97%
- A5 +22%

In total, Audi sold 59,535 units, continuing their streak of five consecutive quarters with positive sales. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for their parent company, Volkswagen. VW brand sales have now declined two straight quarters, dropping to 1.2% in the third quarter to 87,756. Despite solid gains from the ID4 electric compact crossover, losses from the Tiguan, Atlas, and Taos were unable to offset them.
Here are the current numbers:
- Tiguan -34%
- Atlas -3.4%
- Taos -13%
- ID4 +61%
