Audi has just launched the all new 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron. This crossover SUV is the first vehicle from Audi to utilize the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which is a joint development with fellow German auto giant, Porsche. This platform allows for a higher level of customization and flexibility in design, making it possible for Audi to cater to the various needs and preferences of its customers. This also means that the Q6 e-tron will be able to offer a unique driving experience that sets it apart from other electric vehicles in the market.
One of the most impressive features of the Q6 e-tron is its newly developed lithium-ion battery. Consisting of twelve modules and 180 cells, this battery has a total gross capacity of 100 kWh, ensuring a range of up to 388 miles on a single charge. This is a significant improvement from the current generation of electric vehicles and addresses one of the main concerns of potential buyers – range anxiety. With the Q6 e-tron, drivers can now confidently embark on long journeys without worrying about running out of charge.
But the Q6 e-tron is not just about long distances. It also offers an exhilarating driving experience. The Q6 e-tron quattro accelerates from 0-62 mph in just 5.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric SUVs in the market. This is made possible by its two electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear, which together produce 355 horsepower. And with an 800-volt technology, the Q6 e-tron quattro can be charged up to 158 miles in just ten minutes at a fast charging station. This means less time waiting and more time driving.
The Q6 e-tron also comes with the latest infotainment system, which uses Android Automotive OS as its operating system. This gives customers access to a wide range of apps, making their driving experience more convenient and enjoyable. The system is also equipped with voice recognition technology, allowing drivers to access various features without taking their hands off the steering wheel. Additionally, the Q6 e-tron comes with various safety features such as adaptive cruise control and lane assist, making it not just an eco-friendly vehicle but also a safe one.
The Q6 e-tron will initially be available in normal SUV form, with Sportback trims coming later. However, Audi has also announced that a rear-wheel-drive version with a longer range is also in the works, providing even more options for buyers. And for those in North America, the Q6 e-tron will come with a combined 422 horsepower, making it a true performance electric SUV.
